- Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
Are you drowning in debt and looking for a “fresh start”? Chapter 7 – commonly known as a “Fresh Start,” is the most common type of bankruptcy and involves the liquidation, or sale of certain property you may own. However, due to the recent changes to the bankruptcy code, qualification for this type of bankruptcy has become more difficult. Therefore, we provide advice regarding your best avenue for relief. - Chapter 13 Bankruptcy
This is essentially a debt repayment plan. If a debtor meets certain income requirements and has the means to repay a portion of his debt over the course of 5 years; or a debtor has to repay arrearage on his mortgage, then a debtor will have to file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy.
